The Mercury Theatre is own by the Equippers Property Trust, a Charitable Not-for-Profit Trust. We have a passion for people, the creative,  and the performing arts.

Our desire is to return the theatre back to its former 1910 glory. The theatre will seat approximately 800 people, with improved accessibility. In the future we will have the ability to remove the seats in the stalls for standing room, allowing 1,000 people to attend an event.

The theatre will be available for hire from Monday to Saturday, with Equippers Church using the venue on Sundays. When we draw closer to completing the renovations in late 2025, we will update the process for hire out enquires, as an external company will manage the hire of the theatre.
